EtherTech's Network is built solely on Cisco Systems equipment,
which is the most renowned / trusted and widely deployed equipment in the world.

Unfortunately though, from time to time, even EtherTech has outages. Here you will find any scheduled outage notices and descriptions of past outages that may have effected you.

2009-07-23 16:45 17:45 (Thursday) AAPT Cable problem affecting domestic termination of some xDSL circuits. Downtime 1:00
2009-06-27 21:30 22:40 (Saturday)-AAPT Melbourne- One of AAPTs core switches failed. This only affected a minority of our DSL customers connected via this switch. Resolved. Downtime 1:00
2008-10-24 12:30 12:45 (Friday)- Scheduled Outage - additional redundant link provisioned and installed, installation of additional core router and Processor upgrades. Completed. - total downtime 2minutes.
2008-08-25 12:45 15:15 (Monday) Network outage began at 12:47pm -> 3:07pm with upstream provider - AAPT Melbourne has blown one of their main gateway routers affecting the entire Powertel/AAPT Victoria Network - Tier2 techs are working on problem. Resolved - downtime 2:15
2008-03-05 01:45 15:15 (Wednesday) - There is currently a Telstra DSLAM Outage affecting Victoria. This outage has been in effect since 1:40am. There is currently no ETA for repair. This does not affect Onnet DSL Customers. Update - Issues resolved by Telstra. Fibre cables cut in multiple locations. repaired and all operational.
2007-04-19 11:00 13:00 (Thursday) - Scheduled Outage - Dialup & Fax Services - There will be an outage of up to 2 hours due to required Service Work. UPDATE : All Services were restored at 12:02pm Job Completed.
2007-02-19 14:15 14:30 (Monday) EtherTech's Primary Link to PowerTel went down due to a PowerTel Line card failure. PowerTel techs reprogramming core services to move us to a new Line card. Problem repaired at 2:30pm
2006-11-29 13:00 14:15 (Wednesday) Currently we are experiencing a HUGE amount of inbound mail which is causing mail timeouts being experienced by some users. We are currently working to resolve this issue. Issue resolved at 2:15pm. Mail server now clearing backlog of mail.
2006-11-25 12:00 13:45 (Saturday) Secondary DNS Power Supply failure. Tech onsite in datacentre to replace. tested. All operational 1:45pm
2006-11-24 12:00 12:30 (Friday) Primary DNS Server experiencing cache poisoning. Secondary DNS Server handled all requests, users should not experience any issues if secondary is enabled on their machines. No fault calls from end users received. All repaired and operational.
